Sculpted Canvas is the creative work of Linda Jarnagin. Her current series is about breaking all boundaries and rules of traditional relief work.
After graduating from the Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale and earning an Associate of Science degree in Advertising Design, Linda worked as the Art Director for Palmland Paper Co. where she designed art to promote tourism across the state.
Sculpted Canvas
My desire to incorporate all of my artistic disciplines led me to develop a process to build a sculpture right on canvas. Armature mesh and polymer paper modeling clay are used to create my sculptures. Once the sculptures are complete I bring them to my bisque stage with several coats of gesso. The painting process begins with a combination of airbrush and acrylic paints.
